About The Sanctuary
"By helping others, We help ourselves more than we know"
We are a Sanctuary for Vulnerable Adults and Children. Although our aim is to be inclusive and accessible to everyone not just the vulnerable.
We have an allotment area with 6 raised beds of various heights and a huge flat bed. We will be using these in our sessions.
We will be growing our own vegetables and some fruits. We are also going to be making a start on our "Corner of Calm" and our Kitchen Herb Garden. (If this is something that you feel you could help with please get in touch).

As part of The Sanctuary, We have a Nurture Farm. Many of our animal residents are rescues. We have a diverse range of animals from Grape the Miracle Pig to small and furry ones. All of our animal residents have been placed in amazing homes and Sanctuaries and we will be updating their stories and whereabouts in the coming months. "Watch This Space"
Volunteering
We are currently looking to add to our regular team of volunteers. If you would like to give back to the community and help others in the process then look no further. We have various roles from assisting with sessions, maintenance, gardening to helping at events (and many others) Please get in touch if this is something that interests you

Current Projects
BUTTERFLIES
We offer one-to-one and small group sessions for individuals who are either excluded from school/facing exclusion or isolated in the community. We work mainly with children aged 8 and above, but can offer these sessions to adults too. The sessions can help with many things physically, mentally and emotionally. We set goals and work towards achieving them in a calm and safe environment without judgement. The benefits we are observing with our current service users are amazing.
Open Days
Look out on our Facebook page for open days where we will be open to the general public. You will be able to come along to our Sanctuary and spend time in the idyllic space. Spend time with the animal residents, bring a picnic to enjoy or get hands on helping to create a Sanctuary for everyone.
GARDENING CLUB

WEEKLY Gardening Club £25pm
Come and join us on a weekday morning (day to be arrange to suit members) 11 till 2
As a group we will maintain the allotment area, plant seasonal vegetables and fruits and you can take away with you some of the amazing produce we produce.
(Included in the membership is a subsidised subscription to a local company who will be providing us with some of our vegetable and fruit seeds).

WILDLIFE AREA, PIXIE HOLLOW & SENSORY GARDEN
Pixie Hollow is a magical area of the sanctuary where little pixies and wildlife live. We will be transforming the area into a wildlife area. There is already a natural abundance of wildlife to see at The Secret Garden Sanctuary but we will be creating our own bird boxes, tables, bat houses and more.

In the following Months we will be sharing the stories of our past Animal Residents, How they came to live at The Secret Garden Sanctuary and where on their journey they are now. We had the pleasure and absolute honour of sharing our space with some of the most amazing animals from Grape The Miracle Pig to Rag, Bob and Patrick the Ferrets and everyone in-between.
